SUBJECT: KIT, ADJUSTABLE

FEED SPEED (PART # 76820-00)

FITS MODELS: CH6730H,

CH6720H

WHEN REMOVING THE EXISTING VALVES, BE

READY TO CATCH ANY HYDRAULIC FLUID THAT

MAY DRAIN OUT OF THE VALVE BLOCK.

NOTE

INSTALLING NEW VALVES

1. Remove the existing differential sensing valve from

the bottom of the valve block (see Figure 3.) and

replace with the differential seensing valve (part #

31486-00 (see Figure 1.)) from the kit.

2. Remove the existing -10 SAE plug from the side of

the valve block (see Figure 3.) and replace with the

needle valve (part # 31485-00 (see Figure 2.)) from

the kit.

3. Replace hydraulic fluid lost during service with an

equal amount of new, clean fluid.

This is an optional kit that will add the ability for the

operator to adjust the feed speed for the hydraulic feed

roller. This will change the rate at which the incoming

material encounters the chipping blades. This kit may be

used on all CH6730H models and may be added at any

time during a chippers service.

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine,

shut off power source, remove key, disconnect the

battery cables and make sure all moving parts have

come to a complete stop.
